Bev's "Big" Helper

Bev's "Behind the Scenes" Helper

It would not be right if I did not acknowledge Bev's hard working husband Alvin.
He is the "behind the scenes" guy who gets all the gifts packed carefully in the carton and brings the boxes over to the post office for shipping.  According to Alvin, packing boxes is a science and must be done properly in order to avoid breakage.  He has a wonderful track record!

The festive holiday of Hanukkah will begin in five days and Christmas in ten.  If you still need that last minute gift, go to our site

It is really extremely hard to believe that we will soon be in 2012. The new year brings new births, religious ceremonies, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and many joyous holidays.  We hope that you think of The Painted Name when planning to purchase a gift for these wonderful milestones.

So far we have 28 Facebook fans.  Make sure to spread the word to others to become a fan of our site.

The Birth of a Piggy

The last post showed my cute nephew with his hand painted piggy bank from The Painted Name. I thought my mom, Bev Carp, should be the feature story today as she is the one who brings these amazing personalized piggys to life. Each porcelain pig comes plain white and she decorates it with a design and then uses a crow quill pen and lead free china paints to hand paint an adorable face.  Then she personalizes the body with all the baby's stats. I have to admit that I often go back to look at my daughters' piggy banks to see the exact time, birth weight and length they each were at birth. It's a great reference as well as an adorable piece of art to display. Not only does it look good, but my kids love to put their money in their very own piggy bank. The pigs are fired in a kiln overnight making the paint permanent and then mom boxes the pig for shipping with pretty ribbons.  What a cool process!

This Little Piggy

OMG...Have you heard that my mom, Bev Carp, has a website called, The Painted Name?  She sells the most adorable hand painted personalized piggy banks.  Over the past 29 years in business, she has sold over 18,000 of them.  Both my daughters have one from her and I have given them to all my friends when they had their kids.  They tell me it's one of their favorite baby gifts.  I really think that if you check out these piggy banks from The Painted Name they may become your favorite gift to give too! Is my nephew the cutest baby ever?  He is my best model showing off his piggy bank. "Like" The Painted Name on facebook for future deals and discounts.
